The 12^th Annual National Best Quality Software Awards (NBQSA) for 2010 organised by the BCS The Chartered Institute for IT, Sri Lanka Section was held at the Galadari Hotel on 1^st October 2010. NBQSA recognise local software products and tertiary student projects which compete in 14 categories.

University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC) won six awards which included Gold, Silver, 2 Bronze and 2 Merit awards. Vidusayura - A Virtual Learning and Training Environment for Maritime Education was placed Overall third and was nominated to participate at APICTA 2010 along with Vidusuwa -A Patient-centric Telemedicine Solution. APICTA 2010 will be held in Malaysia from 12-15 October 2010.
